Finished my first quarter at SCAD and finally have some free time for personal study sessions.

Well, today was my first day of class at SCAD, so I guess from the next entree I will have mostly homework to upload.
Was trying a bit different approach to color this time. Still looking for my style.
Some figure practice. Some using geometric shapes while others outlining muscles.
Didn’t have much opportunity to shamze lately. But I feel try to come up with something next time.
So, for the past a couple of months I was traveling from California to Wisconsin and from there to Georgia. Didn’t had much time to draw. However, finally I’ve arrived in Savannah,all settled in and ready to start my Sequential Art education in SCAD!
Here is the third page on the Fight Scene I’ve been working on. This is both an exercise and a trial of some techniques I wanted to try.
Some sketches and ideas after watching Riddick. might make it into a oneshot later on.
I watched Riddick the other day and was so inspired. Yes, the CGI is not great but the idea was awesome. A survival thriller set on a different planet with different rules and creatures? This is a great idea, and I think they handled it pretty well. At least up until the middle. I heard Vin Diesel funded the movie himself, which I find pretty cool. God I hope he is going to make another one.

I love art. There aren’t many careers out there in which even if you constantly fail and left unappreciated all your life, your work has a better chances of becoming golden while your name well known years after your death.
I think this is rather comforting!
