For this project, I wanted to test the Rig Skeleton animation that comes with Unity as well as some simple combat design. I started by making a simple model in Clip Studio Paint and exporting it as a layered PSD file. I made sure to divide the rib cage and pelvis into two sections so that during certain poses it would look as if they are twisting thus getting a deeper sense of depth.
Then, I rigged a skeleton in Unity and created all the basic animation (idle, run, hurt, death, light and heavy attacks, shield, and stunned). I wanted to be able to use the same bottom (hold vs click) for light and heavy attacks and to be able to chain combo attacks if timed correctly. I had to give myself god-mode and disable AI movement as I kept getting beaten.
