Carlota

Carlota was a college opera production, and I designed the promotional poster for it. After reading the synopsis and reviewing the provided copy and lead performer image, I focused on creating a visual that felt theatrical and reverent. I used stage curtains to wrap the heroine, giving her a saintly presence that echoed the story, and added a pink rose to reference a key narrative element.

Once the main image felt right, I designed the title by combining two complementary typefaces—one expressive, one restrained—to match the tone of the piece. The remaining text was arranged for clarity, and the color palette was pulled from lighter tones in the imagery to keep everything visually connected.

Bright Smile Photography

This was a logo design project for a friend’s photography business focused on family and pet portraits. I wanted the logo to feel friendly and welcoming, so I began with a whimsical illustration of a smiling camera as the central mark.

From there, I developed the logo using bright, cheerful colors and a simple layout to keep it approachable and easy to recognize. The three variations shown are the concepts we felt best represented the brand’s personality.

Free Seasonal Flu Shot

While working at the college’s graphic design center, I regularly designed posters and flyers for major campus events. For this health department banner, I began by organizing the provided text to ensure clarity and readability, then focused on filling the remaining space with whimsical, approachable visuals to catch the attention of passing students.

Because the banner would be displayed in outdoor, wood-toned areas around campus, I chose cooler green tones to create contrast while still feeling natural and inviting.

Website Sale Banners

A friend of mine asked me to design some banners/buttons for his website store. Since the store focused on clothing and youth, I used visuals that reminded me of jeans, spray paint, wall art, and modern aesthetics.
